Young scientist support at North-SHIP draws on the longstanding and interdisciplinary activities of the partner institutes and the Universities of Lübeck and Kiel. The Medical Section of the University Lübeck and the Medical Faculty of the University of Kiel offer several application-based funding schemes for early career researchers including project funding, junior researcher funding for preparation of scientific proposals and start-up funding.
