Dr. Léon Franzen and his colleagues will present their poster on the mechanisms of perceptual and confidence decisions at the Centre for Brain, Behaviour, and Metabolism (CBBM) Research Day (University of Lübeck). They used a large dataset (> 200 participants from a novel online study) to model the mechanisms by which confidence in auditory decisions arises. Neural networks were trained to achieve similar performance to human data and the networks’ architecture by which they achieved this performance served as an explanatory read out.
