My name is Frederike Schröpfer, MSc Candidate & Study Nurse.
My research focuses on promoting the early detection of mental disorders, particularly by highlighting adolescence as a critical period. I am particularly interested in identifying prodromal indicators in adolescents, especially those born prematurely or with very low birth weight, who are at increased risk of developing mental disorders. This approach aims to increase the timeliness of interventions and improve outcomes in mental health care.
In addition, improving the transition of adolescent patients with chronic conditions from paediatric to adult care aligns closely with my research interests. This focus on improving early detection and intervention methods aims to significantly improve health outcomes in psychiatry.
